This strain can be bright green at times, but usually tends to lean towards having spots of dark green and having an overall sandy tint. Durban poison that I've got have always been very pointy, squishy with thin leaves and like others have mentioned, "burns well all the way". DP :) I can remember this strain and all like it. The SOUR, this SKUNKY, PUNGENT, CITRUSY, open the bottle and your eyes wanna roll back, its my favorite kind of bud. IMO there is 'two' main categories of herb; Sativa-'Citrus/sour' and Indica-'Fruit/berry'. Taste/smell is very opinionated and this is just my subjective opinion to help other find the right kind of herb that they are looking for because lets be honest. You go in some places and you don't always know what you're getting. And for me it took a long time before I realized I needed the SOUR SOUR CITRUS over the jelly. which isn't bad either, I've found good hybrids that hold both well like dutch treat. P.s Some Indica have some SOUR SOUR SOUR SOU and it was Northern lights. Other than that IDK any other indica that had that kind of citrus flavor, taste and high..

A unique, treasured strain that lives up to the hype. Doesn't look amazing and taste is open to opinion, some love the taste whilst others hate it, myself I found it somewhere in between. Smell is also unique, kind of spicy, earthy like the taste. Effects are wonderful, mood increases after about 5-10mins and peaks after about 20mins gradually fading over the next hour or so to leave very little hangover. Best enjoyed with company and outdoors. I would recommend this to people suffering from depression in particular as the mellow head high is very enjoyable and clear allowing the person to go about their day with increased peace of mind. Pure genetics and thoroughly recommended. I'd give this strain a 9.5/10.

For this to originate for South Africa and have the looks of a kush style grow, it's a interesting flower to say the least. I kept smelling this and it just came up musty in smell. By choice I like indica but felt I needed a switch. I needed a fair amount to feel the effects but seems to have left me clear headed to face yet another rainy Portland day.

Strain: MHM Durban (Sativa Hybrid[?]) THC: 27.33% CBD: 2.22% CBG: 1.17% CBN: 0.15% Grower: Donger Farms Location found: Five Zero Trees Date purchased: 3.14.16 Price: $12.00/g Weight: Over Method of Consumption: Herb Iron and small bong Smell: This version of the Durban lineage is very respectable. This was a smell and an instant almost have to buy. I rarely spend this much a gram but it was a great sample of what the high end of this cannabis flower should be. To me, Durban Poison is a slightly unnatural smell for cannabis. A pungent assault almost exclusively its own. Sweet ammonia hazy lemons with a hint of damp earth after a rain storm. Yup, that unique. Look: Crystal coated, light green and two nice nugs given for my gram. It could use a touch up trim but for how coated the leaf was, I did not bother (rare for me). Taste: There is almost a Lemon Haze profile here. Not many strains I find taste as good smoked as smelled in raw flower form. This Durban may actually have more of that hazy ammonia taste than smell. Eerie and special. Recommendation for medicine: Good daytime, get shit done type cannabis. A good one for opening up in social situations, as long as it is not overdone (which is easy to do at 27%+ THC!). If there was an forced island trip soon, only five strains could come with me, this is quickly climbing my fav list and may go with me for the fun in the sandy sun. Definitely a “relax and enjoy life” type of strain.

As sativas go this is the rocket ship to the Mother ship AND the Mothership rolled into one. Maybe chuck in the galaxy for good measure. Sharp, euphoric, tingling scalp, heightened perceptions and in the case of the version I obtained (from the excellent Pure Green in Portland) containing 1% CBD which seems to add a physical numbing feeling to the head and extremities along with the invigorating sativa effects. Probably not, I suspect, the strain for those inclined to a bit of paranoia as it's mind effects can be intense at higher doses. The Pure Green Durban tested at 25% THC which is high for this strain - and it certainly feels like it. Easily in my top Five.

A while ago I planned a DP grow but was cancelled when the choppers started flying around. About 10 years later I finally got to give DP a try (legally) and I am very, very NOT disappointed. The high is close to a pure Sativa high and compares to Jamaican, and Thai stick landrace. With Durban, if you choose your product wisely you will be dealing with a stoner's choice product. Dp is best of the best and closely matches Strawberry Cough in popularity. ns
