This is currently my favorite landrace strain, and probably my favorite Sativa. My dad's generation always talked up Acapulco, but until moving to Tucson I dismissed it as Cheech & Chong nostalgic B.S. No more.
This is the only strain I've sampled that is truly a golden color, with practically no green, purple, or orange. It is one of (if not the only) sativa that is not at all anxiolytic. The THC content is not overwhelming compared to something like G.C. or Alaskan, but that's a good thing if you plan to go out in public. Euphoria is the defining mental characteristic.
This strain helps me with depression at least as well as Cherry Pie or Bubblegum. With overtones of toffee and mocha, this is the perfect morning smoke.
I've sampled a lot and this is has remained one of my top 5 desert island strains without question. This is no hipe; this is real gold.
I recently found Acapulco Gold at my local favorite dispensary. This strain has always been on my list to try since my younger days of watching Cheech and Chong movies. The nug itself is dense and golden. The aroma of my grinder after grinding up the buds is a unique experience. It is earthy and has a sweet and savory smell. When I consumed the Acapulco gold, through my Magic Flight Box, I could taste this sweet flavor and the experience was uplifting and energetic, but super happy.
If you find this, buy a ton of this! As far as Sativas go, this is on the top of my list.
Love at First Night.
I made oil from 3.5-4 grams of this, to 70-80 millilitres of MCT oil with a half teaspoon of lecithin in it and darn, is this The One?
(actually, I hope not, since it's rare in this land of mine)
Took 1 millilitre of oil. Been in a great high for, umm, shit.. 4 hours. Okay. That's fine. It's 3:30 and I just can't get myself to want to go bed, 'cos it's way better to listen blues radio and go write something into the Internet.
So. The effect... it's happy one, chilled, relaxed - but not the sofa kind-of-relax, but such that you fee like it's just your natural essence to jam with the music, smile inside, feel your body, be in the moment of life.
Since I just made this batch and it was my first taste (after 2 weeks of 'abstinence'), I haven't been able to test it outside and among people. Kinda feels like very social high, thou can't say that for sure, since this might even be too much Feeling It for such a introvert as me. But that's fine, since my primary use is just to let it go for a while and enjoy being.
Can't think of anykind of people I would not recommend to try this strain out. (And I censor myself to write a joke here about Republicans. You're fine - if you're high with this.)

I think the fact hat this is a portent landrace that's been around a while more than me, born in 81 says it all. I wish I had the real Mexican stuff. But the flower. That I've gotten here has been wonderful. Actually golden in color. It really does have a toffee like flavor. Lemon is usually my favorite but this is absolutely yummy. The effect is possibly the best. Relaxing yet stimulating at the same time. It's a wonderful mood booster. All time great strain. If that's not obvious

I should premise this with the fact that I normally smoke indica's, but wondered into the dispensary today to try something a little different. I was going between this and the Gorilla Glue. The nice young lady behind the counter lured me towards this strain with promises of a smooth creep to a plateau of security and euphoria. Okay, so maybe not in those words, but that's what I was feeling with what she was describing. At first taste, it's relatively smooth. No lasting bitterness on the tongue. She was right that this creeps, but if only it rose to a high that was easily maintained. I found myself sipping on the pipe about every five to ten minutes, otherwise I felt pretty ordinary. It really left me hankering for Obama Kush or something along those lines.
I don't know if your like me, but when I smoke I'm into the entire experience.
I want to taste the flower im enjoying, I want a lasting experience. I want a sativa something with actual weight.
This is one of those flowers. It lacks a high THC level, however the taste is one that will leave you wanting more.
* I personally recommend this strain. You shouldn't be disappointed.

It's one of those strains your hear about ..ATF, Colombian Punto rojo, Jamaican gold. The buds have some dark and light green coloration., orange hairs and tri's . Breaks down like some old schools endo, small balls of joy so to say. Taste earthy with a hint of passion fruit. (Weird) smells of earth, fresh, organic..it's a creeper high and hits very nicer
