Oh. My. God. This strain. Oh my god this strain. It's not necessarily my all time favorite, but it's one of those strains that you can recommend to anyone and you know they'll love it, you can smoke it any time of day while doing pretty much anything and you'll feel great... it's a near perfect strain, honestly. I've found it to be an almost exclusively mental and head high, but it does slow down the body a bit in that way that great, relaxing, euphoric weed does. Two weeks ago the ladyfriend and I took the dog swimming in the Washougal River. After we swam and played, we lounged on a rock and smoked a Lost Coast OG joint (27% thc). It made us happy, calm, and it took us an amusingly long time to get out of the water and dressed. The ride home was straight up blissful.

Wow. This floral lavender citrus taste. It's weird. I'm using a Davinci vaporizer and and I had to turn the heat up from usual settings to properly vape the bud. Once I did, the lavender citrus taste got kicked up a notch and this slow wave of quiet, creative introspection crept over me. I will reiterate what another reviewer mentioned - I had a lot of weird thoughts (in a good way). I have every time I smoked or vaporized Lost Coast. No paranoia at all. Just kind of soft floaty euphoria and calm. Wonderful

So my old neighbor grew three strains outdoor last summer- The Animal Cookies: Pretty solid! The Blackberry Kush: So good most people I showed it to were positive it was indoor. And the problem child, Lost Coast OG. About halfway through the growing season (wasn't even stressed out, I think it just had some wonky genetics) it suddenly went into full flower for about three weeks, then stopped and went back to Veg. So when we finally harvest in early October, it's still absolutely stunted- maybe 1/3 the size of the other plants. Anyway, after drying it out I went to start trimming the bud from it only to find 2/3 of the plant were nugs so whispy that they were only good for butter. What solid nugs there were smelled powerfully of mixed citrus. However, I found the effects to be EXTREMELY anxiety provoking for me. Though I noticed after curing it that wasn't so much of an issue. Tried some indoor LCOG recently and while it definitely made me a little anxious at first, it mellowed out after 20-30 minutes or so. All in all, I'm just not personally a fan of this strain. IMHO, I just don't see this as a "60/40 Indica dominant hybrid". I'd list more like an 80/20 Sativa dominate, but hey. Different strains/substances have different effects on different people! Sativa people: This is a strain for you. Indica people and those prone to anxiety issues: Maybe pass this one up...
