JTR is a very high quality bud, it was a pleasure to smoke it. While on this strain I had a great long lasting buzz. It also tastes nice.
Mostly this makes everything kinda slow and touch feels more sensitive than normal, giving a mixed body-mind high. Overall, this bud has a very smooth and lucid high.
I smoked the RYO Panacea packaged version. I'm not disappointed. I think it smells like hay, not citrus, but it's not altogether bad. The smoke is thick but didn't cause choking. No sweetness to it but no bitter aftertaste on the tongue (but I can feel it in my throat). Buzzed in two hits, pleasantly high on the 4th (mind you, they are little gramma sized pinches). Boom! Instant munchies. Clear head and no sleepies, and a nice buzz still after 30 minutes. No dry mouth so far. More back pain relief than I anticipated, relaxing those muscles helps of course. The body buzz is nice but I don't feel driven to get up and start a new project... this is useful if you're bipolar and manic and need to make yourself focus instead of cleaning the garage like a tornado. 4 stars for being an all around good experience.
Definitely a pleasant, colorful buzz, not experiencing any of the mild psychosis novice users are warned about concerning this strain. But I'm no novice. Strong, pungent aroma leaps out of the jar when the lid is removed. Buds are long and thin, but not very dense. It took about four big hits before it really started to take hold, but this is admittedly a subjective angle - I could have just done a couple hits and set the pipe aside to wait. The buzz has increased in the time it took me to write what's above - colorful streaks of light, combined with more spaciness. I can tell my mind wants to go off on its own rather than focus on the task at hand, haha. I'm never thus afflicted, so I can't speak on all the paranoia/anxiety issues some users experience, but at this point I can feel where this probably isn't the best strain for the low-tolerance or novice user who still has things to do with their day. I'm doing a sungrown Nurse Jackie this year - can't wait to try it, as I believe Jack the Ripper is a great one to cross with other strains that may balance it more.
Very good strand but sour diesel in my opinion is way better!!
The bud looks extremely mattered when you first see it, commonly people will point out the hilt lining like substances that spirals around the bud.
The smell is that of a very pungent lemon must. If you only smelled this bud, you would think you had lemon haze, however the mustiness can be the best indicator of the smell.
JtR smokes like an absolute champion. This is one of the best strains of marijuana in my opinion. This bud does put you into a very ripped state, and first time users often smoke too much before the bud starts creeping. JtR is about ten - fifteen minutes late on its full blast high delivery. Once this kicks in you automatically feel very high, and very uplifted at the same time. I love to relax and listen to music on the bud.
This is one of my favorite strains! I thought it wasn't going to be that good considering it is a sativa based hybrid (I enjoy more of the indicia), but I was wrong, this strain has the PERFECT balance between indicia and sativa. I enjoyed every minute of this strain. Overall just a great strain to use for anything, whether it be trying to sleep or getting up and starting the grill, it felt goooood. Nice body high, but also a uplifting effect that makes you want to laugh at everything. I found it was also good for sleeping, no racing thoughts or anxiety before bed, just a nice body high and some tingling. Must try!
