So far, this is one of the best strains for my unique neurological problems. It's got the best of both the sativa and indica worlds, making it a good strain to use in order to get things done or to veg out in front of the TV. Would strongly recommend to anyone with nerve or migraine related medical problems.
Up until now I haven't met a match for sour tsunami but this strain has a powerful expression of CBD that knocks pain and inflammation to their knees.
This high CBD Sativa provided excellent day time pain relief without an overwhelming "high." If you need pain relief, and still be able to function like a "normal" human being ... Harlequin is for you. As a full Sativa, it can be just slightly edgy, but very good overall.
Look: Mid green color with tons of red hairs. It looked like herb. :) which is always good.
Touch: Mid size buds, solid but not dense and fluffy but not too airy.
Smell: Sweet and Fruity. Very pleasant. Smells like herb, which is good.
Taste: Not the best tasting cannabis. First drag tasted good, the rest were a bit harsh. Decent taste off and on throughout the smoke.
The Smoke: Grinder/Joint - semi- harsh smoke. The effects came on about 10-15 minutes after first drag. An hour later, I forget the semi-harsh smoke because the CBD kicked in.
Effect: Happy, Euphoric, Laughing at the Bing Bang Theory and the Pete Holmes Show. I feel a bit more of the THC than I expected. Definitely felt the CBD. Started feeling relaxed and mentally stimulated at the same time.
Before smoke: Tight neck and shoulders. Inflammation from Arthritis. Specifically back, ankles, hips, hands and fingers. Sore muscles from heavy walking. General surge of anxiety throughout my body.
After smoke: I still felt tight in neck and shoulders. After 20 minutes the effects started to sink in. After an hour, my body felt very relaxed in an uncomfortable sitting position. Good sign. I would have been constantly adjusting my body to find comfort, if not for this flower. My pain is there but it's not there. I can be aware of it, but it doesn't bother me. When I laid down, I felt very relaxed.
Conclusion: This strain was advertised as 8.12% CBD & 4.19% THC, I would say that is about right. I would prefer a 10% or more CBD and less that 4% THC. If I vaporized or smoked out of a bubbler or smoked more, I may of had more of a relief.
So I was doing a lot of research on high CBD strains of meds and this caught my eye. It has 8.5% CBD and 6% THC. Right when you smoke it, you can tell the difference in this strain. My body was very relaxed and my slight headache went away, but I didn't have that "super-high" cerebral feeling you would expect from a Sativa. I felt pretty close to normal with just a little buzz.
I can see where this strain would be helpful if you were sick & in pain and don't want the psychedelic effects. So overall, this would be good strain if you just want to relax but not trip out.
This strain is great for calming yourself down without getting insanely blasted.
July last year I injured my back and enflamed my sciatic nerve down both legs. The 3 prescriptions I was given caused constipation and didn't work well together. I was given this strain and after my first bowl I changed my outlook on cannabis. 20 minutes after my muscle spasms stopped, my constant nerve pain stopped, and after 2 days I took myself off the meds. It doesn't taste the greatest, it barely gives you a head high, it only lasts a few hours although you don't need a lot, but it truly worked at least as well as the medication I was taking for pain, spasms, and inflammation. All without the side effect I mentioned.
Little Amsterdam Wellness Center Milwaukie Oregon is a wonderful soothing place. I deal with chronic pain and Tony recommend Harlequin. It has been fantastic for me. Now I have returned to try others. Thanks so much for the outstanding service.
