Picked this up by recommendation from a local recreational shop, was told it was their go-to when people ask for a 'good sativa', so I figured I'd give it a shot. Mental feeling- Definitely helped manage the rush, overwhelming-ness, and unpredictability of anxiety. Not energetic but not lazy, mostly just a nice, relaxing, calm sensation. I was more open to things (because I wasn't nervous), I allowed myself to enjoy things I would usually be put off by, the creativity was flowing, all that good stuff. Sometimes I would find myself getting distracted in the middle of something or losing focus, but it was usually more of a sign that I wasn't enjoying what I was doing. Since the feeling of this is so calm, I was able to sleep at a reasonable time and I didn't wake up with that 'afterglow' feeling. Physical- I felt like headaches were more painful and the munchies are real, I will say that. Other than that, not much to report on the physical side of things. I don't deal with body pain so I'm not a good judge of that. This isn't a couch lock feeling. I wasn't more perceptive of my touch or any of that. I really didn't notice much, but I have no clue what it would do for body pain. Overall- 4/5, mostly out of personal preference. I prefer my sativas to feel more energetic, and this was more on the 'chill and feel comfortable' kind of thing. Which isn't bad. It's just not my preference. It also isn't a long lasting sensation, so you will be smoking/vaping/whatever more frequently than with other sativas (Super Silver Haze or Strawberry Cough as two examples of other sativas). And finally I'm not big on how much this stimulated my appetite; I'm a tall skinny guy with no schedule to my eating, so when the munchies hit it felt like my stomach was being crunched up. But this will be a regular for me and I will definitely give it 4/5 because the pros outweigh the cons and as far a sativa dominant strain goes, this does what it's supposed to do and while it might be a little bit different it's a very, very enjoyable experience. Things that didn't affect this review: The flower itself was very beautiful. I purchased 7 grams and each nug was very full, coated in trichomes, fantastic aroma when you grind it up, a very satisfying 'snap' when I broke off a piece from a nug. The taste and smell were both quite earthy but very pleasant. I enjoyed smoking this every time. This batch was grown by Project M in Washington. Very nice job.

Dutch Treat Haze… a very well rounded slightly sativa dominant strain. Picked this up from The Novel Tree in Bellevue, WA. Grown by Raven Grass in Olympia washington, Dutch Treat Haze was quite potent for me and definitely got me more stoned than NYC Diesel or Montana Silver Tip. Not a whole lot of body buzz, just more of a heady inebriated feeling. This would be a great party strain to substitute for alcohol. I could see it being great at a social party where everyone is drinking and you just want some cannabis!

I had tried Dutch Treat before, but I retained no memory of it—whether it was a forgettable strain, sub-par bud, or just so good I can't remember shit about it—I'll never know. So many strains smell like lemons and pine, and Dutch Treat Haze does too, yet without any chemical traces. I know calling a flower floral is redundant, so I will say it is herbal and smells splendid and sweet. It looks fantastic in the jar—very fuzzy and well trimmed. I was about to join friends who were drinking (in moderation but enough to be good and buzzed). And since I generally don't drink, I wanted to feel the relaxation without losing focus on my good friends around me. This strain had that rare combination of both soaring high and the functionality and focus of the best sativas. I didn't need any stoner-rewinds in the conversation. As they went from buzzed to drinked to drunk, I was rolling back the tape for them. I'd say I got at least three hours before I came back down to earth and decided on a little night-cap indica. In that span of time, I managed to sit them down and decide (by committee) on which hike we were going to tackle at Zion Canyon the next morning—what should have felt like herding cats happened naturally and effortlessly. It wound up being a great decision too (only my ankle disagrees!). This bud had a moderate dose of CBD (1.12%), which make this suitable for mild anxiety and pain. I had no munchies—though I had just eaten supper. I had energy, but no jitters, no blues, no racing heartbeat. I'm a seasoned smoker and know when to save a Dutch treat for an hour later. So still take it easy with this one if you're new to smoking and/or suffer from panic attacks. Though not the heaviest slugger in the game, this was still very potent at 22.23% THC. Great combo of taste and effects for $35/eighth.
