This review is about the legendary Chocolate Thai sticks from the 1977 to 1980 era. I obtained the genuine Thai sticks several times during this time period. At the time, three large thai sticks cost about $75, Each thai stick had about 3.5 grams of sensi flower bud with the chocolate flower tops tied to a small bamboo stick. The potency had to be 20+ % THC. Potency was outstanding and impressive. You simply could not smoke more than 1.5 bowls per day. The bud had an earthy pungent smell and was perfectly cured. The intense sativa high from .5 grams lasted about 5+ hours. It was neither speedy nor sleep inducing; great for walking and hiking The current strains available have a similar high but lack the intense quality of the genuine thai sticks. The high was dreamy, cerebral, and focused. Music sounded fantastic - I remember listening to Cream Live Volume 2 " White Room" repeatedly. The dreamy visual effects transported me to the Far East!!. This strain was highly coveted, hard to obtain, and disappeared after 1981....

If you're smoking something even slightly green and pretty, its not Chocolate Thai. Not by a long shot. Chocolate thai looks terrible, it's got sparse, runny buds the color of dead oak leaves pretty much. And by all appearances, it might actually be extinct at this point. Which is a shame because.. well.. if you have never actually smoked it, you can't possibly understand the depths of my frustration regarding it's loss. Real Chocolate Thai's effects are lyrical, euphoric, cerebral, creative, like candy for the spirit and soul.

I'm used to really heavy head or body highs. However, this strain had a very functional high. Its a light uplifting high. I found best results but smoking as a blunt or out of a bog. No harshness. Smells like dark chocolate. Leafy and very slightly sticky. Great for during the day use.

For myself, I find comfort with indica dominant strains. I medicare regularly for chronic back pain, PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, neuropathy, and cervical/lumbar disc generic / spinal stenosis. I came across a strain my pharmacist labeled Chocolate Thai. I was not sure how this strain would mesh with me. Sativa is not conducive for me, I will admit t hat amazing head high will hit me in a horrific state. From what I was told this strain is sativa dominant. I have to say my own opinion this was more of a hybrid. Good for my condition.

@floralExp we value a heavy head or body highs. However, this flower has very functional highs associated with this strain. It's a light uplifting high. This varietal serves you up a spicy, fiery smoke with smells of dark chocolate tucked away. A lightning-fast, intensely vibrant high that takes off and lands straight up like the Space Needle. We found best results smoking as a blunt or out of a bog. No harshness to the lungs whatsoever. Light and "airy" nugs, slightly sticky. Great for a "during the day" smoke or lunch break. From our research we have found that this is an exotic blend of genetics of sativas from Indochina. @treeHawkfarms gives us a diverse and evenly dispersed terpene profile presently a higher complex of flavors. Additional notes of black cumin, sweet anise, and agarwood. I truly hope that this crop came from LED indoor grow room and by the looks of the outstandingly superior phenotype of this extraordinary varietal it is looking like it is. I medicate regularly for chronic back pain, PTSD from collegiate sports, and arthritis in my joints. I came across this strain from my local budtender who has great experiences in the medical market. From what I was told, this strain is sativa dominant so the body high effects were suspect to receive. However, I'd have to say that this was more of a heavy sativa or perhaps cooked to perfection of a little well done. A lengthy challenge to cultivate commercially, her flowers develop very slowly to a mature, strongly exploding, with steady levels of THC and exhibit velvety trichrome layering over hues of cocoa and purple tones. This one is very good for my condition. #420sweepstakes

Chocolate Thai! One of the most legendary landrace strains there is to date next to original thai. Absolutely one of the best treats cannasours look for. Exotic structures and even seedfinder has thousands of origin stories that relate back to it's first baby days.. Now into this bud. Bud structure: Super compact lots of foxtails all around this green bud. Dank Clusters looking down birds eye view, has a star shape ill post a picture soon the hairs compete for the spotlight as they twirl upside the bud. Heavy Green with tints of dark moss leafs. I have had a compact bud and either they're super chunky on the grind, not chocolate thai grinds into a fine keif like state. The Toke & Medicinal Effect: Very thick vape, Woody, diesel, floral notes at the end not to many strains finish with floral aftertaste. Instantly notice my adhd going away like I can think omg its great for creativity /focus, kind of like partying, while still keeping me engaged a little body high just off of one puff on the "Extreme Q system" (aka cheaper volcano with better filtration system) @ 190c. @= "at" just shorter and faster. If you suffer from Writer's Block, Motivation, ADHD, Depression, Fatigue, or need a pick me up/ boost on a good day. I definitely recommend this for neurological intellectual disorders, it's a key to unlock a lot of the doors that block what we feel and want to say have a great day y'all!

we grew this strain in the greenhouse this year and the colas were huge. My husband loves it, and tested out at 16%THC and 2.8 cbd so it's a great strain for pain/ headaches, seizures and ptsd and still get a pretty good buzz without wanting to follow the dog around all day. In other words you can still function and get pain relief. Its gets really big if you let it, takes a long time to flower, so watch for mold in those big buds. Not for the novice but well worth the extra wait for those beautiful chocolate color in the flowers. Very sticky with lots of trichomes, fun to trim, even the side buds are large. If it was easier to grow I would give an extra star, but because its tricky at the end, I only gave it a 4.
